T-34/1942 Medium Tank

The T-34 was developed from BT-5 and BT-7 medium tanks. At its introduction, it was the tank with the good firepower, mobility, and armor, although initially its battlefield effectiveness suffered from the bad layout of its crew compartment (two-man turret), lack of radios and poor tactical employment. The construction of the tank were continuously refined during the war to improve effectiveness, allowing steadily greater numbers of tanks to be fielded.
