BTR-50PU Armored Amphibious Personnel Carrier

The BTR-50P was introduced in 1954. It is no longer in production. The first command version of the BTR-50PU armored personnel carrier was produced in 1958. The command variant has the following features: an armored roof; two projecting bays normally on the front of the vehicle; a generator mounted on the rear deck (not on all models); and extra antennas.
