Yakowlew Yak-11

The Yak–11 it is a simply modification of Yak-3, famous WW II fighter. Equipped with weak 700-hp. engines, these airplanes proved to be an effective advanced pilots training before first fly by jet aircraft. Ordered in 1946, 3859 Yak-11 were built in Russia between 1947 and 1956. The SPP Let Kunowice Factory build the Yak-11 in the Czechoslovakia under a licensing agreement as C-11. Let built C-11 which made its first flight on October 29, 1953, and up to 1956, a total of 707 C-11 had been produced for the Czechoslovakian and foreign users.
Many of Yak-11, C-11 had been resold to western countries included USA. Some Yak-11 equipped with P&W and Wright engines, proved to take part in National Championship Air Races in Reno.
In Poland Yak-11s and C-11s had been using in military and civil pilot schools between 1949 and 1960.
