WSK Mielec TS-8 BII "Bies"

The first TS-8 "Bies" (Devil) made its initial flight on July 23, 1955. Designed as a replacement for the Yak-18 and Yak-11 old soviet trainers, the "Bies" went into production in 1957. When production ended in 1960, a total of 230 aircraft had been built. Two TS-8 with tropical equipment were exported to Indonesia and based in Bandung Air Base. TS-8 "Bies" belongs to Polish constructions. This plane was designed by Tadeusz Soltyk and engine by Wiktor Narkiewicz.
