WSK Mielec (Mikoyan G.) Lim-6bisR (MiG-17)

In 1958, the Polish Air Force began a program to modify the Lim-5 (licensed Mig-17F) for service as ground attack aircraft. In 1959 two Lim-5 had been rebuilt and intensively tested. New Lim-5M has reinforced gear, brake parachute, start rocket busters. Serial aircraft made its first flight on November 30, 1960, and up to 1961, a 60 Lim-5M and 40 light changed Lim-6 had been produced. New aircraft was not very good and on March 23, 1963 the production of improved version Lim-6bis began. It was four underwing hard points and wide assortment of bombs, rockets. Up to February 25, 1964, a total of 70 Lim-6bis had been built. All older Lim-5M and Lim-6 had been rebuilt to Lim-6bis version.
The aircraft was by manufactured as Lim–6bisR reconnaissance version.
