Avia (Ilyushin) B-33 (Il-10)

The Il-10 is the heavy armored aircraft designed specifically
for close air support of ground forces. It is improved version of
the famous Il-2 „Flying Tank” attack aircraft.
The first prototype Il-10 made its initial flight on February,
1944. Delivery of this aircraft to soviet units began at the end
of 1944 and attacked ground targets during the closing months of
the war in Europe. In the Korean War Il-10 had been used by the
communist forces. USSR up to 1954 built total 4966 aircraft.
Il-10 had been produced under a license by Avia Factory in
Czechoslovakia. The Avia-built B-33 made its first flight on
December 26, 1951, and when production ended in 1955, a total of
1200 B-33 had been produced.
Polish Air Forces was using Il-10 and B-33 from the end of 1949
to 1960 year.
